Even if you are not quite sure if you have an emergency, you should call the office for advice. You should not wait and find out afterward that the condition needed to be attended to immediately.

Some injuries require immediate treatment to prevent serious complications. Minor chips or broken teeth may be okay if left until the next available office visit. However, more severe injuries, such as a large piece of missing tooth, a severe break, an entire tooth knocked out, or possible damage to the tooth nerve all need immediate attention. Our office staff will do their best to work you in on an emergent basis.

Severe tooth pain should be considered an emergency, as it could be caused by an abscess. If there is an infection present, it needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
